Commodities Asia Summit
In a year marked by fragmented trade, shifting alliances and evolving climate policy, Asia’s role in the global commodities system is under renewed focus. From critical minerals and agricultural exports to LNG, oil and green fuels, the region sits at the centre of intensifying competition over resources, market access and investment.
As trade flows are re-routed and sustainability-linked regulations—from CBAM to carbon disclosure rules—continue to develop, Asian exporters, traders and policymakers must navigate a shifting landscape of compliance, incentives and geopolitical complexity.
The Financial Times Commodities Asia Summit, now in its sixth year, took place in Singapore and brought together more than 300 senior executives, investors and officials from across the commodity value chain. Over two days of agenda-setting conversation, the summit explored how Asia is managing volatility, adapting to global trade realignment and advancing its role in the energy and materials transition.

Key themes discussed
Politics, sanctions and the new trade routes across Asia
Trade blocs, export controls and geopolitical tensions are redrawing commodity flows. How are Asian economies adapting to a more fragmented trading system?
Asia’s role in low-carbon commodities
From green hydrogen to sustainable agriculture, how can Asian producers scale up in a fast-changing global market for cleaner fuels and materials?
China’s pivot and the future of commodity markets
As China focuses on advanced manufacturing and clean energy, what does this shift mean for its trading partners and the rest of Asia’s commodity landscape?

The content covered in the various speaker and panel sessions was very good. I think much more so than any other similar events I've attended. High quality speakers with direct knowledge and most significant involvement in the actual commodities business.
